Run DMC Font (also spelled Run-D.M.C.) was an American hip-hop group from Hollis, Queens, New York, founded in 1981 by Joseph Simmons, Darryl McDaniels, and Jason Mizell.
The logo of the band features a grotesque sans serif typeface, which is probably Franklin Gothic originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1902.
