Robert Font Family is a modern sans serif typeface designed to cope with modern and harmonious design. First created for the 2017 festival event, Moogfest, Roobert is primarily derived from Moog company’s logotype. One of the defining features is the single-story “g” character with a rounded bottom right leg and a neat, unbroken end. This inspiration is apparent in the ‘bent pipe’ in the typeface, particularly in the comma, and has been repeated all over the typeface creatively.
Named in honor of Robert Moog, the American engineer, founder of Moog Music, and the leading creator of the famous Moog synthesizer and other electronic musical instruments, Roobert is inextricably linked with its namesake – the main electronic musical instruments’ innovator. Apart from its looks, Roobert caters to multilingualism and can display accent marks for Latin and Central European languages; it even has different versions of Greek letters and offers revised reiterations for Cyrillic typefaces.
