Marvel Font Cinematic Universe (also referred to as MCU) is an entertainment franchise comprised of an expansive shared universe. Based out of America, this media franchise includes superhero films produced independently by Marvel Studios that mostly portray characters found in American comics published through Marvel Comics; TV and digital comic series as well as short films are all part of this collective universe.
MCU released its inaugural film Iron Man in 2008. Iron Man 3 and Ant-Man formed part of The Avengers crossover movie; Captain America: Civil War began and concluded its trilogy of films before moving on to Spider-Man Away From Home as its final installments.
