Gotham Ultra Font GQ magazine initially asked for Gotham typeface as they were looking for a modern sans-serif sans geometric design that was “masculine fresh, contemporary and modern” to be included in their journal. Jonathan Hoefler gave the GQ magazine a criterion according to which they needed something that “looked extremely fresh while well established and could add credibility,” in their magazine.
Ever since Gotham was established, it has been very famous not only for being in many prominent places but also for designing extensive campaign materials both of President Obama’s 2008 presidential run and the Australian Labor Party.
