Afacad Font is a pro and hacks customized project. Inspired by architect Sture Elmen’s proportions used in 1940s architecture, the “Afacad Typeface” project was begun as part of Slagskeppet in 2017.
The tenants of this Swedish housing development needed new addresses for their homes, entrance numbers, doorsways and gates etc. The letters and numbers featured are all based on the proportions used by the architect Sture Elmen during that era – made from materials which were available then as well.
